Srinagar, March 08 (KNO) : Accusing national parties of misleading Indian people over Kashmir dispute, AIP President Er Rasheed Friday said that it needs not to be told that whenever talks will be held between India and Pakistan the focus will be seventy yearlong Kashmir dispute. In a statement issued to KNO, Er Rasheed said, “On one hand genuine voices of Kashmiris are being muzzled and governor even calls every one a separatist who talks about rights of Kashmiri people but on the other hand New Delhi asks Pakistan and world community its willingness to talk on Kashmir issue with Pakistan, if Pakistan ends alleged militant activities in J&K.” “If J&K is India’s integral part, then why and what India has to talk,” he said, adding the confusing stand of New Delhi is just to befool Indians and by muzzling voice of Kashmiris, New Delhi is expressing its frustration. He said from national leaders to Governor Satpal Malik need to realize that talking about Kashmir dispute and its resolution doesn’t mean separatism, adding that if New Delhi is itself ready to talk on Kashmir then why to mislead innocent Indians. Er Rasheed also condemned sealing Jamia Masjid Srinagar for second consecutive Friday and said that the act is straight away an act of interference in religious affairs. “With Yatra yet five months away the government has started mega preparations for the success of the Yatra but unfortunately the majority community is being deprived of its fundamental right to pray. Putting Mirwaiz under house arrest, sealing Jamia Masjid but making preparations for Amarnath Yatra in advance is enough to understand who is communal and what is the mind set and role of current administration,” he said.(KNO)
